EA Sports is bringing the action of College Football 26 directly to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville this weekend, partnering with Spotify to host its first-ever “Campus Pregame” event. The activation celebrates the matchup between No. 15 Tennessee and No. 3 Georgia and gives fans a chance to experience the game, meet athletes, and win prizes.
The three-day event, running Sept. 11-13 outside McClung Tower, features UT-themed interactive areas, including football toss challenges, reaction tests, and kiosks where fans can create their own in-game character cards. Attendees receive collectible keychains featuring UT symbols, including a football, the Power T, and Smokey.
Schedule Highlights:
Sept. 11: Meet-and-greets with Lady Vols soccer players Cayden Norris and Ally Brown, and baseball players Brandon Arvidson and Landon Mack.
Sept. 12: College Football 26 Showdown at 4 p.m., where country music artist Tucker Wetmore plays as the Volunteers against content creator Bordeaux as the Bulldogs. The match will be livestreamed on Twitch at twitch.tv/easportscollege, with viewers able to earn in-game rewards.
Sept. 13: Fans can meet Bordeaux and compete directly against the popular gamer.
Matt Sacks, senior manager of marketing partnerships at EA Sports, said UT was the obvious choice for the inaugural campus event due to its strong football culture and presence in the SEC. Future Campus Pregame stops will feature Florida, Alabama, and Ohio State.
UT athletes expressed excitement about connecting with students and fans outside of their teams. Lady Vols soccer player Cayden Norris said the events help generate more support for the team. Baseball pitchers Brandon Arvidson and Landon Mack added that such events are a rare opportunity to socialize outside their busy schedules.
Sacks highlighted that College Football 26 allows fans to simulate games and explore any outcome they wish. “It’s a fun way to preview the game… But if you don’t win on Saturday, you can go into our game and get hundreds of wins,” he said.
The weekend also coincides with ESPN’s College GameDay visiting UT, along with additional fan events including the Red Bull Championship Run on Sept. 12 and a Hi-Wire Brewing watch party on Sept. 13. Mack summed up the excitement, saying, “It’s the decade of the Vols. We’re gonna win this year.”
