Getting out of Hajin deserves as much attention as getting in. Pick an extraction point early, keep an eye on the radiation circle, and don't wait until the last minute to call the helicopter. The closest exfil to the expanding radiation closes first, and other squads may be watching the smoke when you arrive.

What happens when an Operator goes missing

A full squad wipe sends your Operator Missing in Action. There's no plea option, and the contents of your backpack are gone. You can pay to rescue the Operator, keeping purchased Traits, unspent Trait Points, and Dog Tag Rank, although most of the loadout won't return. The more progress you've made, the higher the rescue price. Starting over avoids that cost, but you can't choose the same Operator who went missing. It's a decision worth making before you rush back into another match.

Recent fixes and the Possum change

The October updates addressed several ways players could lose an Operator unexpectedly. On October 24, a fix stopped Party Leaders from pulling teammates out of DMZ without their consent. Another stopped an extraction helicopter from disappearing with players inside. On October 28, Possum changed: you can't activate it while the team that eliminated you is nearby, or before four minutes have passed. Think of it as a chance to escape, not a quick route back into the same fight. On October 29, a fix addressed enemy helicopters crashing into extraction helicopters.

Dog Tags make you a target

A Lieutenant drops a Dog Tag when eliminated, but carrying one comes with a catch. Your case appears on the tactical map, giving nearby squads a reason to come after you. Before picking it up, talk to your team about the route out. The October 24 notes corrected inaccurate information on looted Dog Tags and Bounties, while also listing a PC network error during extraction with a looted tag as a known issue. On October 29, a fix stopped players from storing a disconnected teammate's extracted Dog Tag in their case.

Pack for the trip home

Bring a self-revive and a Med Kit when you can. Medical Clinics, shown in light green on the map, are useful places to look if supplies run low. At an exfil, interact with the green smoke to call the helicopter; if another squad has just used it, you'll need to wait for the cooldown. Sky Heist offers another route out if your squad can fly and defend its helicopter. Before deploying again, clear the Overflow Stash at the FOB.
