Arc Raiders Squad Roles Explained by U4GM

Heading into Stella Montis Night Raid Check your loadout, clear stash space and plan your exit before full-auto anti-shield pressure cuts your run short.

A reliable Stella Montis Night Raid squad in Arc Raiders divides the run into three jobs: one player watches vertical tunnels, one covers extract approaches, and one holds the anti-shield answer. Check the live region timer before queueing, then use ARC Raiders Items to plan the missing loadout pieces before the squad commits to the night window.

Set the three roles before queue

Vertical tunnel watch

The tunnel watcher owns the vertical route and keeps the squad from splitting around one more node. Stella routes practiced in daylight are the safer reference because Night Raid changes night vision and audio cues. Call a route change before the bag is full, not after the first full-auto burst forces a retreat.

Extract approach cover

Extract cover takes responsibility for the approach the squad expects to use and watches for a lobby that has turned sweaty. This player should call an early exit when the bag has a useful Emperor key part or the kit is already damaged; chasing another node after the lobby tips turns a good run into a wipe.

Anti-shield holder

The anti-shield holder brings the shield-break answer and keeps it available for the full-auto threat. Shield stacking alone is not enough here; cloning three soft kits gives the squad no answer when anti-shield pressure starts. If no player can fill this job, skip the window or bring a friend who can.

Confirm Night Raid in the client

From Main Menu, open Live Map, select the Stella Montis panel, and read the condition line and region timer before queueing. Night Raid rotates in one-hour blocks, so an old club note is not proof that the condition is active. The visible Stella Montis and Night Raid labels are the confirmation; a different condition or a missing active line means stop and re-check.

Check the region timer before queueing. The live client controls the current window, so memory or an old note cannot replace this check.
Open the loadout and assign one player the shield-break answer. Keep one recovery kit and repair mats for the exit; if the kit cannot answer full-auto anti-shield pressure, skip the window.
Open station storage and deposit spare Stella parts before the block. Clear stash space before chasing Emperor parts so the reward does not become inventory sorting under pressure.
Mark Emperor key part nodes only after finishing them, then state the squad's exit-or-clear call before queueing.

Success is visible, not inferred: the panel still shows Stella Montis with Night Raid, the stash has room, and every player can state the exit-or-clear call. If any one of those checks fails, stop before queueing rather than trying to fix the gap inside the raid.

Keep loot pressure from breaking the split

Emperor key parts, Anvil IV, and Hullcracker IV are the nearby loot stakes, but none justifies breaking the role split. Have the tunnel watcher mark only completed Emperor nodes, let extract cover set the exit call, and leave once the squad has the part it came for. Amped weapon progress can support item progression, but an amped gun screenshot does not replace the anti-shield answer.

Night Raid is not a reason to mix Beachcombing on Riven Tides with Stella loot planning. They are different map conditions and different item pressure profiles. Compare runs only inside the same Night Raid window and region timer band; a different lobby pace can make a good role call look like a bad loadout.

Common wipe causes

Three errors repeat: three soft kits, no free stash space, and one more Emperor node after the lobby has already tipped. The first gives full-auto anti-shield pressure a clean target; the second forces sorting at the worst time; the third turns part greed into a wipe. Deposit spare Stella parts before the next block, keep one recovery kit, and stop while repair mats remain.

After a wipe, write down one cause: route reading, shield tempo, or part greed. Use tunnel coverage from daylight practice, not memory alone, and treat video landmarks as route aids rather than proof of the live timer. The live client panel decides when Night Raid is up in your region.

Club notes should name Stella Montis Night Raid Full-Auto Anti-Shield, not a generic gun note. After a patch that changes enemy density or shield rules, reopen the Stella Montis panel before repeating old advice. That keeps the three roles tied to the current condition.

Before your next Stella Montis Night Raid block, open Main Menu, then Live Map, confirm the current region timer, clear station storage space, and decide whether to buy ARC Items for a named shield-break or repair gap; then queue with one tunnel watcher, one extract cover, and one anti-shield holder.
