In MLB The Show 26, having a roster loaded with elite base stealers can completely change how you play. Speedy players create pressure, turn singles into doubles, and force defensive mistakes. If you want a "speed kills" lineup, focus on cards with high Speed and Stealing attributes.
Top Legends & Flashbacks for Base-Stealing
Here’s a list of legendary players you’ll want in your Diamond Dynasty lineup for dominating the basepaths:
- Bobby Witt Jr. (Cover Athlete)
99 Speed | 99 Stealing
Witt Jr. is extremely versatile—ideal for both bunting and aggressive base running. His Live Series version is also top-tier, but the Cover Athlete card gives maximum stealing potential. - Rickey Henderson (Legend)
The ultimate steal master. His legendary speed and jump ratings make him still the gold standard for stealing bases in the game. - Lou Brock (Legend/Flashback)
Brock shines in grind modes. Players love him for consistent steal success and fast jumps. - Andruw Jones (AJ10, Legend)
While mostly known for fielding, his high-rated versions provide excellent speed for base running. - Jackie Robinson (94 OVR, Reward)
Early-season reward cards give you a high-speed option right away, with strong stealing ratings for collection-focused squads. - Elly De La Cruz (Live Series/Legend)
99 Steal
A newer star with insane speed. Keep in mind that elite catchers with high Pop Time can still throw him out occasionally.
Key Attributes to Look For
To maximize your stealing success:
- Speed – Determines how fast a player moves between bases.
- Stealing – Boosts the success rate of steals and improves jumps.
- Pop Time (Catchers) – High Pop Time on opposing catchers can neutralize even 99-speed runners.
